From the moment we started planning our 2017 event we wanted to improve on our fund raising total from 2016. For many reasons 2016 was a poor year financially for us; low entries and lack of sponsorship being the overriding factors.
We’re pleased to announce that our 2017 event has raised an amazing £6089.50!
This is truly a marvellous achievement. It may seem odd for us to publicise our “profit” but remember that we are a fund raising event and every penny of this money goes to the charitable PTA groups of Kirkbymoorside CP School and Gillamoor CofE School.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in staging this event – without our army of volunteers it simply couldn’t happen. We’d like to thank our sponsors for their generosity and support of this community event. Finally we’d like to thank everyone that entered our event in 2017 – whether it be the 10k (which sold out!), the teen 4k, the children’s 1 mile or the kiddies dash – this simply wouldn’t be possible without all you wanting to run our fantastic races in our fabulous location here in Kirkbymoorside.
Planning for 2018 is well under way now – put a mark in your calendar for Sunday 6th May. Your feedback from our post event survey has been digested and improvements will be made for next year in certain aspects to make 2018 even better! Entries for 2018 aren’t yet open – but join our mailing list to make sure you hear it first.
