Simply calling this 10k route scenic wouldn’t be doing it justice. This route takes in the stunning scenery of our countryside location in all the glory of mid-spring. If you’re lucky enough to run it on a fine day then it’s an even bigger treat.
The route undulates around the North Yorkshire countryside starting and finishing, of course, in Kirkbymoorside. It takes in the local villages of Gillamoor and Fadmoor before returning on a fast downhill finish to the town centre where cheering crowds are waiting to great you.

The course can be described as challenging as the first couple of miles are generally uphill towards Gillamoor, although you can never describe it as steep. Here you meet you first water station before a nice flat section over to Fadmoor where we have our on-course first aide station. Here you take a more southward direction and start to feel the benefit of a gentle downhill towards Hagg Farm. Our second water station greets you before a little dip and a cheeky final hill before you start your descent back into the town. Some people dare to call this course hilly, we prefer to call it undulating.

Watch the video below of a time-lapse of our Race Director, Dave Pearson, running the course the day before our 2017 event.
