The 4k

Fancy a shorter challenge? Or a friendly intro to your first race? The 4K is for adults, and kids from school year 7 upwards. Maybe you need something to aim for in 2024? Perhaps you have completed the couch to 5K and fancy a challenge? Or you’re a keen teen working up to the 10K? This race is for you!

We also now have a team entry option of up to 4 people, so you can go solo, or sign up with your family, friends, or work mates. Run together or separately, it’s up to you – your times will be added up at the end. Go wild and dress to impress with optional fancy dress! There are prizes for the fastest team and best dressed team!

The race is not actually 4km long. It’s 3.7km, but as it’s technically unmeasured, we round it up for simplicity, so there’s another reason to enter!

The route is similar to the 10k in that the first half is a gradual incline – but nothing too scary. It’s the only one of our races that starts in a southward direction out of the town centre as it heads onto a quiet local lane, across a private farm road, with a fast downhill back into town to the main finishing line. This route has a crown jewel, and that’s the stunning view of the town as you come back down from the top!

Prizes for:1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female, school years Y7/8, Y9/10, Y11, and general.

TEAM Entry

To enter as a team, each individual registers as usual, but needs to enter the same team name on the entry form. This will be confirmed when you check-in on the morning at Race HQ.
