2018 Event

The KIRKBYMOORSIDE 10K 2018 will take place on Sunday 6th May 2018.

Preparations are well underway for the 19th running of this fantastic and popular road running race taking place in rural North Yorkshire. Part of these preparations is the recruitment of the volunteers, without them this event could not take place. If you are not able to run but would like to help then please visit the volunteer page to find out more.

The day will kick off as usual at about 11:45am when the Beadlam Tractor Run, raising money for The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, will parade through the town. Following the tractor run we will kick off the running at 12:55pm with our ever popular ‘Toddler Dash’ which is open to children up to the age of 6 (year 2). Then it’s on to the ‘4km Teen Race’ at 1pm for kids at secondary school; this takes in a local loop on quiet country roads with the finish down our high street with cheering crowds on both sides.

At 2pm we start the main event – the Kirkbymoorside 10k race. After the 10k runners have left the town we have our last race – the ‘Children’s 1 Mile’ which is open to children from 7 to 11 (key stage 2); again this finishes down the high street and the kids love the atmosphere created by the crowds.
